I test drove a GT with shaker 500 and wasn't that impressed and especially with tan int the charcoal ctr on those huge gear shaped kicker speakers was more than I could handle. So I found a V6 with std radio and was thrilled with the sound and even more with the clean speakerless door panel. Course I have this setup because I ordered the car car this way; Guys with stangs i run into keep saying "I thought shaker was std in GT" ...most of you know it is not. Anyway, I was curious how many of you GT owners went this way. Thanks

The shaker 500 is standard in the GT premium, however the deluxe it is optional. Trust me, if i had my choice i would have rather gotten the basic system. I will be ripping out my shaker 500 and putting in a great aftermarket system because that is how i roll. By the way, from what i understand the number of GT deluxes is very small, why, because they make more money on charging for the upgrades that the premium has.

As to the doors, i think they look good both ways, i am just wondering if those door speaker grills will stay on if i take out the subs, i have not looked yet.

I've got the standard stereo on my 06 GT Deluxe.

I knew I wanted to upgrade the system myself so it didn't bother me...

Now, the question I have is, am I the only one w/a GT that doesn't have leather?????

What it came w/was 5-spd, 300 hp, and rear wheel drive; which was what I wanted!!

I am completely satisfied with my Shaker 500. I think it sounds great, I am over the days with the loud and obnoxious systems. I had two 12's in my civic before this and almost blew my brains out. All of my money goes towards performance now!

Nice, on the std rad and door panels. A guy in a 06 loaded chased me down a couple of weeks ago; we got talking. He had every option but he did have cloth though, was what he wanted. I thought about cloth but decided on leather (only other opt I took were sport appearance pkg (leather wheel and shifter) and spolier delete. 3 opts total on my Deluxe.

Shaker 500 is [sm=smiley20.gif] by me. Ditto on the loud music days, not any more...

My GT has the standard radio it weighs less it's hard to hear over the exhaust anyways

i got the standard knowing i would change everything out eventrually, which i have already done.

06 tgstn vert

Got a tgstn GT vert ('06) and got the cloth interior and std. speakers. Dissappointed with lack of bass and cany add subs to the trunk. Std. stero works great in a hardtop and in my opinion is more than adequate. But if anyone is planning to get a vert get the 500 at least for the BASS factor of the car. No subs can be added to the trunk in a vert due to the steel wall between the raer seat and trunk compartment. No BASS gets through!!!!!
