I took my car in for inspection, and they failed me saying that I don't have mufflers.

I have the SLP's on my car.

That sucks! What state are you from? I'm from Oregon, and I've been thinking about purchasing a set of SLPs (the muffled ones) and putting them on for the inspection every two years.

I have a Mac axle-back, and I love it. They are loud enough to get attention, but not extremely loud at cruising speeds.

Im in VA and they will pass a Harley with drag pipes but you can't get straight pipes on a car to pass and if SLPs are straight though they might not pass but they sound like the deal.

Go with the Mac Axle-backs. They sound nice and loud but at highway speed in 5th gear are not too bad. What ever you do, decide first if you can deal with the droan. Than may make or break a decision about a certain product. There are many threads and comments within this forum about that.

I bought the flows last week and installed them on Saturday morning. I was reading up on the message boards and people are saying that the flows have a tendency to break baffles inside the mufflers over time. Well, after a day of driving, mine started making a rattle type noise which I'm thinking is coming from the mufflers. I think I am going to return these for a set of Borlas.
