Default Lowered Mustangs

Has anyone shaved their bumpstops in order to achieve more travel and a more compliant ride in the rear? If so, have you experienced any downsides to doing so? I'm sure if you've had back seat riders, they've experienced that kick in the stomach after you hit a dip in the road or a set of railroad tracks. I noticed that my bumpstops have maybe a 1/4-1/2" clearance from the frame and thought that if I shave maybe a 1/2" or so, it might help.

Default RE: Lowered Mustangs

I have been wondering about this myself!...Having the slightly tallers tires 295/45/18's in the rear i occasionally hit the bumpstops especially going over speed bumps. I was considering shaving off the top nub but i havent do so yet...
