Default Difference between 2006 & 2007 GT

I can get the rebate on an 06 Mustang but are their any differences between it and the 2007 that would make it worth buying the 07' instead?

2007 has the psi warning light and has an option to choose 3.31 or 3.55 gears id just go with the 06

I faced the same dilemma. Problem was they did not have an '06 in the color I wanted. I wound up paying full price for an '07 but got the exact car I wanted. Personal choice I guess.

The things that are different: 1) '07 has an aux input jack under the armrest (great for the iPod!), 2) factory installed satellite radio, 3) appearance package with hood scoop (never saw an '06 with this). Also, I think the front facia has some very minor change to it the dealer told me but I did not spend time investigating.

Yeah, you will save some money on an '06, but this late in the year it has also depreciated (even before you buy it). So if you buy an '07 you will pay more up front but have less depreciation later. That's what I tell myself.

07 offers some more options like heated seats, leather dash and some others, so if you don't want/need those things... go with the 06.

Minor changes. Mostly cosmetic. All can be added to the 06. 07's are supposidly 100lbs heavier due to a stiffer body because of the shelby. But I havent confirmed this yet.

But at this point, unless you are getting a steal of a price on a 06, I would just get an 07 exactly as you want it.

The depreciation really doesn't matter too much considering that the body hasn't changed at all and that he'll have the same amount of miles reguardless of whether he gets an 06 or an 07 and in a few years asuming he want sto keep the mustang for awhile the kbb value should be about the same and the difference will probably be alot less then the difference that the 06 and the 07 sell for right now. If you can get a rreal good deal on a 06 i'd say get it if not wait till january cuz my buddy whos a salesman said thats when they can make deals on 07's thats what i'd do just a suggestion though
