Don't think that thought did not cross my mind. Something like, gee, someone stole yours last night, but UPS just dropped mine off....

Last week I posted the Wilwood install we did on a friends Roush. I mentioned the Whipple going on this week. It pulls like the space shuttle! Here it is - (No, that's not me in the pic, That's the master tech that works for me)

I cant wait until more people have these and we start seeing the numbers.... The only reason I havent bought the Saleen S/C is because of this beauty right here!!! I just hope she blows good.

Certainly we'd all appreciate:

1. Your opinion of how it runs. Forget advertised data - how does it feel / perform?

2. Dyno numbers if that is in your plans.

3. A photo of the final install.

Thanks and congrats.

As I had mentioned, this was an install on a friends Roush. As far as the feel, seat of the pants, unreal acceleration, but very smooth and strong across the entire RPM band. I thought that the drivability was incredible tame considering the H/P this should be putting out. The owner of the car went to "The Tail of the Dragon" this weekend for a run. I am going to e-mail him this thread and ask him to give us a write up on how it went, and his overall impression. He has pictures of the completed install, so I will ask him to post those as well, or e-mail them to me.

WOW! I took the Roush to Deal's Gap when it was just a Stage 1 - $12,000 sure makes a BIG difference! Suspension mods - brakes - Whipple , yes it does kick some serious *** The best part about the Whipple is it feels like a "454" was dropped in - power everywhere from idle up. Blower makes very little sound, you could get away without anyone knowing (as 1 member of our club found out the hard way this weekend - LOL) He had put in a 430 gear and just couldn't wait to spank the Roush with headers - what a funny look on his face when we walked away from him. Anyway, thats a whole other story, Eddie & Music City GT were in on it too, sometimes opportunities are too good to pass up!
Paul was right on the money - no dyno yet, but it should be in the 475 -500 RWHP range - feels like it. Plugged the processor in and the unit hasn't missed a beat - idles, pulls like a freight train, doesn't overheat - np problems. I went with this kit due to Ford Racing's cooperation with Whipple in the developement of this. It just sounded like it was gonna be a bolt-on without any hiccups and it was. I 100% recommend you take a hard look at this unit in terms of appearance, performance and ease of installation - I think it will be hard to beat.
I can't tell you how awesome it was comming out of those hairpin corners at the Gap (Tail of the Dragon) and rolling the power on. I could pull my buddies "430" geared GT relentlessly without alot of effort and then would slow down a few corners later to do it again - LMAO!!!!
Oh, the Wilwoods not only look great, they work extremely well and do not fade at all - not even a little bit. The only thing about that mod was I was afraid someone might rearend me due to thier brakes not able to stop them as quickly.
The Whipple gets you about 200 RWHP for $6000 or about $30 per hp - LOL
I'll have to email Paul the pics, don't have a clue how to post them.
