Default CMCV delete

I have an 07 Mustang with long tube Kooks, x-pipe, 3.90 gears, SCT tuner, cold air, Granatelli coils & I have removed 300 pounds. I am thinking about the CMCV delete, and I was looking for some feedback. Are there any noticable gains? Other than a decrease in partial throttle torque are there any downsides to the delete?

You will pick up a few HP from them. The less you spend on them the better the mod is Skip getting them from Steeda at over $300, FRPP now sells them for $90.

You can probably save yourself a few more pounds by removing those COPs and putting the stock ones back on. They are not worth the effort.

Wait...So you will get more increase in HP at higher RPMs at the cost of lower RPM torque? Sounds like this is more of a mod for a track car than a daily driver? Most of my driving is at partial throttle and I'l like to keep all the torque I have.

I read that If the car is tuned properly after the CMCV delete, than there is a power/torque increase everywhere in the powerband (and none is lost).

Mine are going in a day or so. I've got tunes from Bama and Brenspeed so I'll be trying them all out. Installing Kooks LTs at the same time, so we'll see what I get out of this.
