In previous posts, I had been asking about what exhaust systems others had been happy with, flaws, etc.

Well...I got tired of my IMCO and took it off on Saturday, right at the cat.

I was blown away by how much nicer/louder it sounded!!!

I'm happy with what I got now and I'm thinking of keeping it this way

Anyone else do this to theirs and like what they hear?

Are you getting any drone at all? I'm so sick of my magnapack I'm considering all the alternatives right now. I'm not ruling out what you did...

I wonder if it might be a fire hazard.

it should probably drone alot especially on your gt

 

I was getting drone even before the blower and gear....

I was actually thinking of going open headers and leaving the mufflers on.
That might be a bit much.....

+1 on getting the sound clip

 

I fired up my GT w/ the mufflers off. It sounds bad as*. If you're going to do that, at least put something back there so you can see the dual exhaust. It makes the mustang look like a mustang IMO. It would look naked w/ out it. Maybe put on the SLP loudmouths. I doubt it sounds much different than w/ no mufflers on at all. Remember, the loudmouths are just straight pipes anyways!
