Billet Grill Question
Does any body have a Billet grill for a GT that eliminates/covers the inner head lights? I like this look better (more like the V6 version) and want to know the best option. I've seen this arrangement on a couple of custom GT's but, I can't find a bolt-on to the stock front fascia.
Here's a picture of the above grill installed (on my 06 GT). It deletes the fog lights, it's not an inlay over the stock grill but a replacement. I believe this grill is made for Cervini's Eleanor bumper because I had to modify the mounting tab to get a clean mount. Removed the stock grill (including the fog lights), drill two holes on the bumper for the lower moutning tabs, and had to extend the upper mounting tabs because it didn't quite reach the mounts on the bumper. Also, I removed the tri-bar pony on the driver's side and installed a bigger pony in the center (I painted it matte black).

On the cervinis page the eleanor looks to have the same upper facia as a stock gt has, I was thinking about installing one of these and buying some small maybe 2-3.5" foglights to mount on the lower facia and use the same wiring as the originals so they will utalize the original **** in the interior, what do you guys think?
You have the same idea I have. I don't care for the GT fog lights either. I thought of installing the grille from the Pony Package V6 car-it looks more traditional, but several members said the V6 grille does not fit the GT opening.
If you can find some lights to work with this grille shown in the above picture-please post the info.
Flippn-that car looks really good. Is it an '07 with the GT option scoop or aftermarket. NICE CAR!!!!!

Thanks, it's an 06 GT. The hood scoop is from Roush that I had painted by a body shop and installed it myself. Bad part is that during installation it slid off the hood and ended up scratching the heck out of the paint. Not visible in the pic gut it's pretty tore up[:@]
Nice Work Flippin. Thanks for the heads up. I didn't think the cervinis grill would fit that good.
One more question. What are you using for the lower grill? I can't tell but, it appears to be stock. The other concern I had with the cervinis grill is that I may not get a lower grill to match.
BHRS, is that confirmed that the V6 upper grill won't fit the GT? I don't see why it wouldn't. I was thinking of that idea as well. If it fits, it may be a better route to match the upper and lower.

I posted the question a while back and everybody but one person said it would not fit. The guy that said it would, mentioned it was not an easy fit. He did not reply as to what was so difficult. I really don't know what the problem/solution was.
In another forum people said there is a gap around the edges because of the size difference. I was thinking of buying a std V6 grille and see what the difference is before stepping up to the Pony Grille. Maybe some black rubber/thin weather strip would fit to fill in the gap-I don't know????
I am ordering my Mustang this weekend so I will have to wait and see...
Has anyone out there fit a V6 grille in a GT successfully? If so post some pictures-Please....

My lower grill is stock and I really don't plan on installing a matching billet grill for the lower. I'm trying to limit the aount of non-black pieces on the car. I have seen lower billet grills that will match the Cervini that I have but I don't remember the brand or source sorry.
I really don't know whether the V6 and V8 grills are interchangeable. What I know is that it has been mentioned by numerous members (and on other forums as well) that they are not a perfect swap. As mentioned there will be gaps and modfications innvolved, then again I've never done it so it's all hear say.

Mr.bodykit.com sells billet grills in generac sizes that im assuming you have to cut the bars to make it fit the way you want. Im pretty sure that the grill that they sell for the lower that is prefabricated is jus an overlay grill, The cervinis upper is a replacement thats why I like it, I would like to find a lower replacement and not an overlay, any ideas where 2 find 1?
