This company is about to release an "Eleanor Style" and "1967 Style" hood later this month.

The aftermarket fiberglass hoods that I have seen so far have not been up to my standards as far as looking like a factory finish and fit. I wonder if the factory hoods will fit?

will it work and match up with a GT's front end, since the cobra's is different? I am referencing the lines of the grill, headlights, & portion of the bumper inbetween the grill & the headlights.

Its actually about the same price as buying a metal one from the dealer guys. Might even be a bit cheaper.

I dont know that I would agree with that.... Only because I havent seen too many fiberglass hoods for under $500 - unless you buy it from Ebay and then there are no promises in the quality you are gonna get. And arent the fiberglass ones lighter in weight?

Of course, I could be completely off target. My last two GTs already had cowl hoods installed so I never really put much thought into this before. So, please let me know if I am just talking out of my **** here.

i bought a hood a couple months ago that makes me so sick i wanta sell my car just so i won't have to watch it flop around.thats at 60-70 when alot of air goes through it, i called the people i bought it from that sent me straight to the people that made it. nothing they told me to do helped.

i just bought a new hood its on the way, i'm thinking if there is something wrong with it there fault and its not painted you can send it back, maybe not but i'm gonna fit it and try this one out before painting it.

if you get it i hope it is a good hood, maybe i just got a defected hood.because when talking to the guy i told him it does a few things that he said it shouldn't well besides flopping around.

I have been corresponding with the owner of Karr Motorsports for a couple days now. He is one of the nicest people I have chatted with in a long time. He will answer any questions you have and is proud to be selling the KAENEN Performance hoods again. I have not heard anything bad about the quality of KAENEN and I will keep you posted on which hood I select from them. He is located about 5 minutes from my parents house, so I will probably just have my pops pick it up and put it in storage with my GT for now.
I go home on leave in January - and I will probably have a family friend do the prepping and painting before I get there. I will post pictures after that.

Yeah, they are supposed to post pictures of the new hoods on Sunday. I will make my decision at that time. Money "saved" on shipping will be placed towards another upgrade for later

Im gonna have my pops go check out their shop and see how things look. Keep you guys posted!
