It looks fantastic. I'm glad to hear that you still gain power with an 87 tune. Did the C&L air cleaner box clear the ABS lines ok?

Yes it is aluminum and it can be chromed. Some places can even chrome plastic nowadays. Aluminum has been chromed for years.

The C&L housing actually attaches with a zip tie to one of the abs lines.

Does chroming the aluminum affect any of the heat transfer properties of the aluminum...So is the intake going to get hotter/stay hotter than the unchromed aluminum????

Where did you get the black "connecting" pipe. I prefer that over the blue as well.

Richard and pegasusphototx,

How do you guys keep the engine bay so neat and shinny? What products do you guys use to leave it so clean? Every time I try to clean it I end up frustrated and disappointed. Guess my problem is patience but if you use a secret product I really appreciate if you guys share.

No secret product. I've twice used an engine cleaner in a can. Spray it on the cold engine, let it soak, then spray it off. Most the time, it's just a damp microfiber towel to knock down the dust. If you do it every couple of washings, then it's easy to keep on top of. For the Unique Performance car show last week, it took me about 45 minutes to detail the engine bay.

from Saturday's show
