I had no code issues with mine!

As for the TB Mounting bolts - I wanted to raise my shaker, so I had gotten longer bolts and 3/8" shims and lowered the bracket on the inside front of the cover. This in turn raised the front of the shroud 3/8" and made getting to the TB Bolts a LOT easier.

A warning to those of you who are planing on doing this - be careful, as if you raise it too much, the shroud will rubb on the trim frame.
