Default new guy checking in

New guy checking in. Glad to have found this site. Just picked up an '07 Mustang GT a couple weeks ago and love it. Technically, it's supposed to be the wife's, but she needs to learn how to drive a manual transmission. Fortunately I am teaching her, which means she hasn't had many lessons yet.

Looking forward to lurking and watching what others are doing to their GT's.

Here's a pic taken last weekend:

I hope your wife is real careful driving a car like the Stang if she is not use to it. If she is not you might consider taking her out to a big open parking lot to show her how it handles in the rain and dry surface's. My wife never drives mine because she is scared to death of it. I went to a wedding over the weekend and drank a little to much and let her drive it she nearly turned it sideways pulling out on to the road. Then to top that off a deer jumped in front of the car we only cleared it by a foot . I don't think I'll ever drink again when the Stang is driven.

We've done just that -- practiced in a big parking lot. 1st gear, 2nd gear, stop. 1st gear, 2nd gear, stop. etc. She's got a ways to go but someday she'll be comfortable enough. I agree, it's maybe a little too much car for a beginner.

Nah she can figure it out I'm sure... I learned, and taught all my friends/girlfriend all on my GT. If my girlfriend can learn how to drive a stick on my car, anyone can.

Beautiful car! It's amazing, no matter how many stangs I see, I love every one just as much as the one before it.

Just teach her to NEVER put down the gas pedal to the floor!
Maybe you can retune it and put in a rev limiter for when she has it?
