I'm new to this forum and really don't know what I'm doing...but I have a question...I just bought a brand new 06 Mustang, V6 w/pony pkg. I'm thinking of adding rally stripes to it...the only thing is, we're not obligated here to have a front license plate and I wonder how the stripes are going to look going around the front indention left for the plate. I've looked everywhere and can't find any pics of one. And if they don't go around the indention in the front...how are they going to stick there and what are they going to look like. Can I get some opinions please?

 

I had the pp at one time and I didn't take the stipes all the way over the bumper(same law applies here in oklahoma) I will try to get a pic of my old car up. Congrats on your car

Stripes all the way from bumper to bumper! The GT has no indent for license plate, si I am guessing the facia is a little different on the V6 front end.

 

oh yeah the v6 mustang does have the frame holder built in to the bumper. my new GT has stripes all the way down it but the v6 didn't. Too Curvy for vinyal and if its painted it would look good.

 

Thanks Fizzie. I really like the look of the rally stripes, but am really scared of how they're gonna come out w/that license plate indention. I'm stressing myself out just thinking about it. I've seen some pics of cars that go to the edge of the hood only, but I'm not sure I really like that look. [&o]

 

if your doing vinal done have a local sign shop do it and tell them what you want done if it looks funny at that spot you can always have a front custom tag colored a striped the way your car is so it looks normal. just a thought
