im thinking about doing a really big ordering spree again lol

i want to build an N/A beast before i go forced induction

actually, what would one do to get 400hp n/a?

i would think port and polish head, cams, long tubes, o/r midpipe, catback, intake, tb, pullies and water pump would get you pretty close?

do alumimum driveshafts/flywheels yield more power due to less rotating mass?
I think some are advertised as like a 10 hp gain, not sure.

Cams, CAI+Tune, Shaker(no HP gain but looks sweet [8D]), udps, off-road X-pipe, T-body, water pump, headers.

That should get you over 440, but just go F/I unless you are gonna get forged internals.
Whoa!?? Are you talking 440 RWHP or crank HP? I really don't see how those mods are gonna get you to 440 HP either way, but definitely not RW. I'd like to see your math on this.

EDIT: OOPS, I accidentally clicked post.

Cams: add 40-50 hp.
CAI+tune add ~20-25 hp.
Shaker adds 1 or 2 [8D]
udps add 10 hp
X-pipe adds 20 hp
T-Body adds 10 hp
water pump supposedly adds 12ish
headers add 20

I got the added ponies off of brenspeed. Brent got his car to 347 rwhp which is +400 crank hp with bolt ons.
I messed up on my math a little, I took 315(stock crank HP) and added the rwhp to it [8D] so I dunno how much that would change the answer.

i would want to build my car N/A before i go FI and see what happens, if i were to do all the above mods for NA power would any of them come in conflict with FI such as turbo or procharger?

If you slow down acessories with udps, does is take away from the effectivenss of your acessories. IE does the a/c work the same, I live in florida so this is very important to me.

I imagine it does, someone please clarify if you can, cause all underdrive pulleys say "not for use on smog tested cars" Which makes me think that the efficiency of the smog pump would be effected.

Some people say it can, but 99% of them say that they don't notcie a difference.

@Kaldar: I think CAMS might interfere with the blower, and you have to take UDPs, CAI, Tune off for it.

Uhm, the S197 doesn't have a smog pump.

Also, The A/C performance loss is real, but it's not very significant. My A/C temp went up by 3 degrees F. Noticeable? Not without the thermometer.

Interesting. I don't see that warning on either the Steeda site, or the Brenspeed site. I would think this is the kind of thing they would want to tell people to minimize returns, no?
