It doesn’t really look like too much *** kissing. It's probably a standard complaint letter, just the names and incident change. “We have documented your feedback which will be forwarded to the respective departments involved.” Basically means your letter has already been lost on its way to someone elses office that if they had received it probably would have just sent you the same exact letter as above. It’s next to impossible to really get attention from a large corporation.

It’s probably even less likely you’ll get any real attention considering the childish letter you sent them. It sounds like it was written by some teenage kid, pretending to have bought a “a brand new Mustang GT that was fully loaded” and then having “had a Saleen Super Charger put on it and it is putting out nearly 400HP at the wheels on 93 octane fuel.”, those little mentions probably seem some what contrived considering the total lack of tact used throughout the entire letter you sent.

Anyways good luck with the whole thing.

Uh, a little tidbit here...they called North Central Ford to verify I wasn't, as you put it, childish letter written by some teenage kid, and verified I bought one and basically paid cash for it, and NCF called me and personally apologized to me, and offered me a test drive of the Cobra they have on the floor.

How do you like them apples, Tonto?
Im gonna have to see proof in writing, because for now that's all hearsay.

All kidding aside if you got that much response consider yourself lucky, and make sure you get a full tank of gas for that alledged test drive.

Ford Mo. Co. could give 2 ****s if you are pissed off! With people willing to pay $37K over invoice for a Shelby Mustang and a waiting list at that to get one, I don't think Ford is having a problem with finding people to but their product. It is sad but oh so true, the dealers and ford could care less. They are all about making the almighty dollar!

I'd say it is a rule that Customer Service in the US sucks moose *****. I'm glad you wrote a letter and got a reply. Even if it is just a form letter, someone heard that you thought that their service sucked, and maybe, just maybe the leadership at Ford will do something about it.

Good on you!

Standard reply letter from Ford.
Adding profanity to your letter will never help. You really should have waited and reread it before sending it.

Did you really call the GT500 a Cobra?
No wonder they wouldn't raise the hood for you! Ford is very serious about NOT calling it a Cobra.
If I were a salesperson I wouldn't let anyone who wasn't wearing a suit to touch a car that could get a $37,000- 50,000 dealer markup!
If you have problems with a salesperson go to the sales manager. If he can't or won't help you go to the owner. Or just go to any other the thousands of other Ford dealers!

I'm with stangmann on this one. Getting treated like crap sucks, its happened to me. But if your gonna take the time to write someone you have to make it sounds professional. Your first sentance shouldnt be YOUR A BUNCH OF SMARTASSES. But hey, if they apologized to you then good job.

I went to a dodge dealer about 5 years ago to look at this Dakota and the sales rep looked at me and asked if I really thought I could afford a 25k truck? I was dressed nice since I was just coming from work and I probably made more than he did. Needless to say I was a bit miffed. Nothing worse than condasending sales people.
