Does anyone know what size in cubic inches these 2 engines are? Is 5.0 about the size of the old 302?
And how many C.I. is a 6.2? I don't have that chart at the moment...

RE: 2008 Boss Mustang. Are you ready? I am.
I don't know where all this misinformation keeps coming from........but as of right now, there is NO Boss mustang scheduled to be built in 08 or any year after. Ford sold the rights to the Boss name back to Larry Shinodas family a few months ago. So, unless something weird happens, I don't think we'll be seeing a new Boss mustang anytime soon. I've been hearing about a new Boss coming out "next year" for probably the last 10 years. And it hasn't happened yet. I don't see why it would happen now. All the news coming in about the "new Boss" always seems to come in from third party publications that have little to go on other than "unofficial sources in-the-know".
Bottom line, Ford has made all but an official announcement that they will be offering a new specialty mustang every year of production in the future, starting in 08 with the new Bullitt edition mustang. I'm thinking that for 09 we may be seeing a new Mach 1. Then the mustangs go into their next makeover and we'll start all over again folks. And as much as I want to see a bigger motor in the current gen mustangs......I just don't see it happening. Ford has too much of a good thing going with the current 4.6 motor, and there's just little reason to engineer a brand new motor for it with the redesign just 2 more years away. My guess is that they, at most, are gonna go with a different head setup on the current 3V architecture to produce a more powerful engine. Think either 4V variant or maybe, perhaps, a stroked version ala PJ Edition.
This is rumor control, thankyou for listening.
P.S. The article you posted is an old article that no longer contains accurate information.........not that it ever did before.

Oh, and one more thing.......the hideous green mustang below is NOT a new Boss mustang prototype. I repeat........NOT a new Boss prototype. It is a weird photochop of the 04 GT-R concept (orange car below it).....nothing more. I'm tired of ppl posting pics of that montrosity labeling it as the next Boss. Thanks
