Default Track PSI with new tires

I just got some BFGoodrich KDW2's and i'm not sure what I should drop the rear tires to. I was thinking around 30 because they are 285/40/18 and 255/45/18 if anyone knows what I should drop it to for the track let me know. I believe standard PSI is 35-40 for these tires.

I ran 45 up front and 25 in the rear with the stock 18" BFGs. Same with my Nitto 555s, but damn are they getting ate up at the track. Season is over so I'll have some slicks for next year!!!

I only run road courses so if you are asking for the strip my suggestions may not be what you want...anyway, after trial and error I usually (pending temperature that day of course) run 28 rear/30 front with my BFG KDWs - I actually had my best e.t. with 28 at all four corners though.

Interestingly I re-read an article about the Steeda Q from December '05 and that's what Steeda apparently were recommending for their 18" Ultralites wrapped with Nitto 555.

you should do 20 psi and that works pretty good.. you need some sidewall.. with 30si, you will spin!
