Do you sometimes turn down your radio when you go through the gears.

Sure do.
So I can hear the clunking, thumping and grinding that goes on as I attempt to shift this thing.
Yeah, I guess the exaust sounds nice ... dont' get to hear it much though with all the other 'sound effects' this wonder of automotive engineering makes.
Sigh.
Ford - never again.

I can handle the noise.
I had a M22 Rock-Crusher many years ago and boy are those things noisy!
But the lurching, sputtering, stalling, clanking, knocking I just can't handle.

My favorite times to turn OFF the Shaker 1000.
1. Starting her up in the morning.
2. Entering the highway on-ramp in 2nd at 60 mph.
3. Engine braking on a decline.
4. Stomping on it to make a pass.
5. Shifting from 4th to 3rd at 80 mph and then stepping on it.
6. Shifting from 3rd to 2nd at 50 mph and then stepping on it.
7. Shifting back up from 2nd to 3rd at 60 mph while I'm stepping on it.
8. Shifting from 3rd to 4th at 90 mph while I'm stepping on it.
9. Any time the windows are down.
10. When I'm turning up the heat a little so I can roll the windows down.
... I think you get the point

I installed a sub a while back, and after about 3 weeks, turns out my amp was too powerful and it blew the sub. [:@] Well, my amp is still in there I think, but I just haven't replaced the sub becasue I usually end up turning it down to listen to my car. Especially under overpasses. I think I shall get the mac exhaust soon, I can't wait!

Do you turn down your music to hear the mufflers sing when doing a take off through the gears or a pass on someone on the interstate.
