i echo most of you about wanting more to start off but then I realize how much **** is made for our cars. You get an amazing car for a great price and an awesome platform to build from... but you guys all know that. don't get me wrong i love my car, it looks sweet and is fun to drive. i guess i'm just frustrated because i can't afford all my toys for it yet.

I know you all want to be faster right NOW.......but damn. You could do all the mods you dream of tomorrow for free, and then turn around and get your *** handed to you on the freeway the following day by someone in a primer gray Fox body that happens to be a 9 sec street car. Seriously, was "who can I beat with this?" the only factor that weighed in when you bought one of these new Mustangs? Damn, I wonder what the 2V GT owners used as purchase criteria back in the day...[&o]

the more expensive a car, the faster they r going to be, think about it. what cars are in the $100,000+ catagory, uber fast awesome cars. what about the $30,000 and under? Mustang GT. $30,000-$100,000 u can get Z06, Skyline gtr, etc. imi just sayingu get what u pay for, and if u pay 25,000 for a gt, dont expect it to be on the level of a 70,000 z06.

In recent years Ford has developed a pattern of developing a good platform like the mustang GT, ford explorer, Lincoln LS...and then sitting by and let the other companines come along and whoop it's butt.

Look at how the camaro in the mid nineties became much faster than the mustang; the caddy CTS and CTSV beat the pants off the LS, Jeeps and blazers came along and beat the explorer at it's own game.

But, for now at least, thought the GT is not the fastest horse in the stable, it is a darned great car. It's not as fast as the Goat, but it is a much better car on many levels.....including (in the opinion of even the GTO owners) being better looking.

So enjoy it...
