KAENEN HOODS!!
I want to know more of what the diffrence between a CF and Fiberglass one will be.
I have heard that a Fiberglass hood is normaly a few lbs lighter then the stock ones. If the CF is a few Lbs less then the fiberglass, then I will still want the CF hood.
A carbon fiber hood should be stronger then the Fiberglass hood with out having to be as heavy, since it requires less material to be the same strength. Also with CF, I would not have to have the underside painted, just sealed.
I'm also considering doing like the steeda stripe on the hood, but instead of painting it black, have the CF show thru. Maybe a very transparent shot of black and clear over it

cryptic26djp, do you have their contact info? I just got in a car accident last night, and my hood will need to be replaced. I was looking for this specific hood online today, but couldn't find it anywhere. The closet I could find was the GTR hood that they have on ponybuilder.com. Any and all info helps. Thanks

FYI, check out my sig for pics of the Kaenen 67 styled hood. It is a solid fiberglass hood, so much so that it is actually a few pounds heavier than the stock hood. As for fit and finish, the body guy said it was the best fiberglass hood he has ever seen. Only needed to shim between the hood and the hinges, absolutely no touch up or finishing work required - just prep and paint.
The hood is not functional. Combining the slight raise of the scoop (and airflow conditions at that level) with the fact that the air box is at the front of the engine bay, I seriously doubt there would be any quantifiable gain made by cutting out the openings and creating some ducting to route air back to the air box.

Yeah, the 67 is the one I am looking at. I originally wanted the California Dream...... but this 67 Shelby hood just makes the look I have wanted. I think I will make mine functional - just to give it a little more originality. I am going home on R&R in January and I will be stopping by to pick mine up.
