why isnt there a section specific to shelby gt500? im a member of stangsunleashed and they have a setup like that and a lot of people participate in it. i dont like it so much because its more confusing to use than this forum. What do you guys think is better this forum or the other? or what might be the ups n downs to both? overall general question. IM just tryin 2 dig out as much info as i can on the gt500 bc im lookin to buy 1. so im lookin for info and advice

I'm sure that there will probably be a GT500 or Shelby specific section to the forum at some point. I think there just aren't enough owners on this site yet. That will change if more start to show up though.

It can be called "The Pig Pen".

Or it could be called "The rich members only club".

Nah, I like pig pen better. Anything that weighs 4000lbs without a spare is definatly a porker. To each his own I guess. Evo performance seems to be able to get them to move pretty damn well. But the weight is still staggering to me.

Lets be realistic.

Each time we make a new subsection - it requires more maintenance – a lot more maintenance then you would think.

So, we have to make decisions very now and then on the value of making or keeping a subsection.

Although – the new GT500 is a very specific car - it is not all that more specific then our regular S197 cars – in fact, it pretty much is one of our cars, with some body kits pieces and a supercharger and some suspension mods.

There aren’t that many of them being made, and then what percent of the owners will end up in here.

I personally don’t believe there would be enough interest or specific “GT500 Only†information to warrant the creation of a separate thread.

Almost any question a GT500 owner would have – the general S197 GT members could answer!

So, I don’t think we should start a GT500 thread.

it has a 5.4 L engine, 6 speed manual, different brakes, new suspension, etc it is totally different other than some resemblence of a S197GT
