Default Keysert

I am looking to put a hurst T handle on the stock shift lever. I found the perfect adapter to convert the stock threads to the correct threads for the T handle but I can not find a place that sells these indiviually. They all want to sell me a boat load.

Does anyone know where I can find THESE in small amounts?

The threads on the stock shifter shaft are M12x1.25
I bought a Hurst universal T-handle kit and drilled out one of the inserts and tapped with the correct M12x1.25 tap.
The T-handle and tap both came from Amazon.com.
The handle is $20 (satin) or $27 (chrome)
The tap is $5

Which universal one? The one I saw was 12X1.75 in the handle. So it couldnt be tapped to 12X1.25. That was my 1st choice but i couldnt find one.

According to Jegs, the 530-153-0033 model has the correct insert:
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=15081

But the same one at Amazon says 12x1.50 is what is included??? All I know is that I did have to retap one of the inserts to match the shifter. I can't go out and check, cause i beat the insert out and retapped for the SAE threaded Hurst shifter that I later bought.

The Hurst site does not give the sizes

Maybe I made a bad assumption when I was looking in to these.

The metric univeral one says it will fit Metric fits 7mm x 1.00, 8mm x 1.25, 10mm x 1.50, 12mm x 1.50. So I assumed the shifter was threaded for 12mm x 1.50 and it included 3 inserts a 7mm x 1.00, a 8mm x 1.25, and a 10mm x 1.50. So that would make it impossible to tap one of the inserts to a 12mm diameter because there would be no insert left.

Is the shifter threaded for something larger than 12? and the 12 is an insert?

The 12x1.5 is the insert size. I think I just ran the 12x1.25 right through that insert and "persuaded" the threads to tighten up a little bit. Worked fine. The hole that it goes into is like 16mm or something.

very cool I just placed my order for one. It seems that they would want to advertise that it fit the size that is in the shifter also.

THX alot for the info.
