Default Does take-off stuff come scratched?

I have an order in for the entire take-off stuff from a GT, and I was wondering when you guys get take-off stuff if it comes scratched. because i dropped a good 5-600 bux on it, and I dont want to get it and be screwed.

I was thinking about getting a Shelby rear bumper for 236 shipped and have that painted, and just go with a different look:

keep the matteblack sideskirts, have the matteblack diffuser look on the bottom of the shelby bumper, fang chin spoiler, center fogs, and stripes (black or white)

would this be a good look?

It could have some scratches. That's why never just order stuff off the Internet but give the company a phone call to ask these important questions first:
are the parts scratched?
Are they parts in stock and how long until they are shipped?
You photo doesn't show the item well. Can you e-mail me better photos?
What is your return policy if the item is not as described?
Does it come with installation instructions? Are the understandable? What special tools will I need to buy?
Is the part street legal in my state?

The Shelby bumper sounds like a great idea!

Most all take-offs dealers have a disclaimer that these parts could be scratched in shipping due to the size. I can't remember which one does this but one of the take-off sites crates the parts to help prevent this.

i ordered the stuff straight from saleen.

It wouldnt be so bad as to needing to be repainted right? Im just worried because i dont want to get this stuff and have it be all damaged.

Ive heard it can come with a few MINOR scratches, like stuff you wont notice unless youre right on top of it/clear coat scuffs, and they are from when Saleen dissasembles the GTs, some of the pieces get scratched.. I highly doubt youll get any pieces where you can see plastic or anything major that would need repainting.

I wouldn't think that you run much of a chance of being totally screwed by Saleen; I'd be surprised if they sent you badly damaged stuff (as they know a thing or two about nice cars and their owners), and I would bet that if you had a problem and presented it to them properly, they would do everything reasonable to make it right.
