I fabricated a part from stainless steel to put under my Hurst shift ball. To me the T-handle looks awkward with the boot right up underneath it.

That is a very good idea. I dont really like how the boot goes all the way to the t handle. It makes the feel not exactly right because my fingers have to strattle it. I have a lathe so I could whip something out. I might have to do that. However, I dont know that it bothers me enough to mess with since there are many other tasks stacking up (mainly on the 65)

Hey what do think about this cover for the ugly rubber PB handle...here's a pic of mine, it would compliment your Hurst shifter nicely...

I'm a Toolmaker so I designed and fabricated it myself. It is about 1-1/8 inches above the boot. Under the boot it looks like the stock **** looks. The inside hole is threaded about a 1/2 an inch at the top and the rest of the hole is drilled oversize so it sits down over the shift **** shaft so it doesn't sit to high. It also has 2 flats so you can lock the ball in position with a wrench. You can see one of the flats just under the ball.

Did you have it fabricated at a machine shop? How tall is it?

Hey, I'll give you 25.00 bucks if you'll make one for me 1" taller than yours. I like the looks of that.

Shoot, I figure if he taps or single points threads the bottom of the adapter to fit over the existing threads and turns the other end of the adapter to the threads needed to accept the ball or t-handle it could be any length.

I agree, if you make it to high it will only weaken the strenght of the shift rod and also I think it would look terrible. Thanks for the offer to make you one but I'm not really interested. Sorry
