Default Crashed

Was comming around a turn onto the freeway entrance and hit a patch of oil I think. Back end started comming around, but then I over corrected and slammed my front wheel into the curb. The force then kicked the front out and the rear hit also. Was able to drive away, but alignment is definetly off. Also have two scratched wheels and the steering wheel shakes at 50MPH. I have to wait until Mon or Tues to take into the shop and find out the damage. Hope nothing is wrong with the suspension componets, due to the shake in the wheel. Also seems to be a clicking noise comming from the engine compartment. Was wondering if anyone knows what else could be wrong that causes the wheel to shake? Guess I will have to wait a little longer on the stripes/CAI and tune for now.....

What is a LCA? Boss motorsports, style 226. Think I might have to live with the scratches in the wheels until mods are complete.

Gotta see the damage for a diagnosis.
Can these cars get bent frames like the old ones? I ate a curb in my 81 Stang. Tried turning right at a T intersection and the car kept going straight into the curb! Popped the front tire and the shop said I had a bent frame.
Somehow they repaired it, but my parents took away my keys so I never know how well they fixed it

The cars don't have frames. They're unibodies.

Depending on how hard you hit the curb, you might have bent the tie rods. These are used to steer the car and if one of them is bent, it will cause the wheel to not be aligned and it will start to wobble at high speed causing the steering wheel to vibrate. This is most likely the case. When the car is parked make sure the tires are straight. Then look at the top of the wheel that hit the curb and see if it's aligned with the fender or slightly turned. It could also be bent a tiny bit and not be noticable.

Thanks for all the replys. The only visible damage is to the wheels themselves. As far as the shaking, I know I wont know anything until I bring it in. My wheel used to shake a little at like 70MPH when I first got it. I was planning on taking it in but it was only a slight shake and then I put the aftermarket wheels on. The shake was more noticable with the aftermarket wheels and Discount tire said the wheels were balanced and true. After the accident, the shake startes at like 50MPH. Im going to try and make an appointment with my suspension guy first thing monday. Here is a pic of the wheel.

I feel like I just hurt my kid or something.......

Got the results of my damage. First the alignment was fixed and he told me no suspension damage (good news). Went to tire shop today and found out the front wheel is mangled. Back wheel was OK but the funny thing is my passenger front wheel is bent too. I never hit this on anything and only had them for 4 months. This will be a long argument with Discount Tire I'm sure.

Funny how the car is OK and the wheels bent....Built Ford tough!!!

Thats definately good news.. so then the shaking is caused by the wheels, or did they not say?
