shaker 500 question

RE: shaker 500 question
That's what me dealer told me when I ordered mine (got the Shaker 500, figure I'll install my own sub). Sounds like the Shaker 500 is a 500 watt system, Shaker 1000 a 1K watt system? It's confusing because I read (I think from Ford's website) that the Shaker 1000 includes two 500 watt subs, but 1000 total would imply two 250 watt subs? I'm no audio expert, so anyone who could clarify this would be much appreciated.

RE: shaker 500 question
The only differences between the 500 and the 1000 are the subs in the trunk and what the text says on the unit in the dash.
also, the numbers "500" and "1000" don't mean anything in the real world. That's just marketing. They are not 500 watt/1000 watt systems.

No kidding! Ever looked at the back of the stock rear 6X8's? They read 25 watts! The fronts I believe are from the Mach 1 system of the past. But the system is not anywhere near the 500 or 1000.

RE: shaker 500 question
yeh dont waste 1200 bux on the 2 subs in the back its a waste of money. the 2 subs are actually really good in the 500 and even if you want another you can get a custom sub/box for 200 on crutchfield
