Yes when you lose traction (or the computer thinks you are) it will kick in and youll get a small flashing icon on your dash. It looks like a swirving car with some squiggly lines behind it. There is also the button on the dash that says either on or off.

I thought that icon was always on when the traction control is off? Mine is always on after loading a traction control free tune.

Well that must be the error they mentioned because I get no error message on the digital readout. Seeing that little icon lit up all the time is well worth not having the hassle of shutting off the traction control and I think my tires spin a little bit more shifting into second at WOT. It might all be in my head though.

05's have a message in the odometer/information area under the speedo
06's have a small yellow icon of a car and squiggly lines under the tach
These come on when TCS is either activated by a % change in wheel spin between two wheels or it's turns off by the TSC button. (I'm NOT clear of a difference between any two wheels or between front and rear. One would assume ABS is any one wheel and TCS is any two wheels.

Those are on cars with UIP. TCS button is the same on both, It lights up "OFF" when deactivated. and what ever means of lights in your guages light up too.

My icon on the dash ONLY lights when up when I turn the car on for an instant, and when I get loose. NOT when I have TCS diabled by the button.

Silver, you really dont want to see that icon, it usually means you either forgot to turn off TC when trying to burn out, or that youre getting loose as hell. If you really wanna see it, push down on the brake and step on the gas (if you have a manual, be sure to release the clutch).
