hey what do you guys think i should get a new gt or a 03 cobra with about 4,000 miles on it ?

 

Speed vs Style. Which are you looking for? I personally would take the 07 as badass as the Cobra is.

 

07, the looks, value and running costs win me over...

 

I had the same debate about a year ago when I picked up my Roush. I like going fast, real fast, but I decided on the Roush because of looks. My car has the potential to go just as fast as the cobra, its just going to cost more. Anyone can slap a supercharger on a motor with the right amount of cash. Thats the way I looked at it. And I'm very very happy with my choice.

You will be happier, likely. Try them both out, if you can.

 

I would go with a cobra. New style GT may look better (that's a matter of taste), but in future there will be more and more of them on the streets. That means less exclusivity and they will not hold value as good as limited production terminator. Plus, cobra's engine got all forged internals, so it's more reliable than boosted 3V motor (if you want to make same HP as 03 cobra's)

As uncomfortable as it is for me to drive I think if I could go back I'd go with the terminator. I would have just kept my trade in as a daily driver. But the S197 is a great value. Fast, easy to wrench on, good looks, comfortable, 3-link suspension, etc..For 27k you can get a lot, but I do wish there were more performance options out the factory which is why the cobra is soo tempting.
