Default Thoughts on 05-07's

Since I'm not too up to speed on my 05-07 knowledge, I wanted to post this here and see what everyone had to say. My dad likes this bodystyle. I'll have to agree to a point that although I don't really care for the look of them stock, but with a couple of minor exterior upgrades then its a pretty good looking car. My question to you guys is why did you choose this style mustang to the others? Was it purely exterior changes, performance, or etc? Eventually I'll have my dad to read this to see what everyone else says that have these cars to go by. Thanks guys.

70% looks 20% price and 10% oomph. That's why I got my stang.

These are the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. There's nothing in the market today that puts that sparkle in my eye.

When I was 13 or 14 and i saw what the new Mustang was gonna look like. I knew that would be my first car. So pretty much the body style.

Mostly style! In these days of cookie cutter cars, mostly rice burners, they are unique and affordable. Uniqueness tends to be out of reach for most people financially, so these cars are unique in style and affordability. Power? Yes, for the price.

For my needs, style > ooomph. I bought a 4.0L V6 'vert instead of a GT coupe - no regrets (it ran a 15-flat in the 1/4mile, btw). Looks like my '66 coupe in many ways.

30% performance, 30% looks, 10% aftermarket support, 20% comfort, 10% gas mileage. I came from a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi as my last car, and to get me to jump into a Ford after owning mostly Mopar all my life, really takes something special.

The Mustang is special. And, I must say, I am impressed with the car (despite quality issues such as paint, scratched windows, build quality, etc., etc.).

This car looks great, especially when you have one! It sounds great, runs great, turns peoples heads even more than alot of higher priced vehicles. It seems to also have the most accessories ever, or at least close to the top, of all items. Performance, styling, whatever, there seems to be 100 of each item. Just a wonderful machine!

i have always been a fan of mustangs ever since i rode in my buddies 5.0 my freshman year. unfortunatly all i could ever afford were beaters. Also, the body styles from the mid 90s to 2004 never excited me enough to save up. then i saw the s197.....I set up a budget the following week to start saving money and establish credit. I was finally ready to buy in april of 2006 (right when my 92 Riviera crapped out). I went to the dealership and the tungsten grey caught my eye. The GT ws out of my price range but i was more than satisfied with the 4.0. after the test drive i handed the keys back and said "lets work it out." I always wanted to do major exterior, and engine mods. But between the cost of payments, insurence, and the rest of life's expensives, i could never afford them. just a few dollars here and there to make mine unique from the others driving around town, and im satisfied....for now. After all, i own a mustang, modded or not.

50% style
10% comfort
20% affordability
20% love of the legend

o, and not to mention performance. The riviera was a V6 too........but not like this

I say it was about 40% pure looks, i would also say another 40% on engineering. Ford spent a lot on engine/power train i believe and the structure is really solid over the previous mustang. My parents have a 99 GT Vert, while a vert and coupe are different all together, i test drove a buddies 99 coupe and then an 06 coupe. it was like night and day i thought. and they had a nice used Mach 1 at the dealer i bought mine that was very tempting. Oh and the other 20% goes straight to looks i get from the females. gotta love that

I chose it mostly for the style, and secondly for the performance per dollar. I could have got a New Edge GT for less than I got my V6, but my V6 was still cheaper than a loaded 2006 Civic.
