Vinyl stripes

RE: Vinyl stripes
I would say you definately need two people to get the stripes off the backing and onto the car. Even the smaller stripe pieces are hard to get off the backing paper without it folding over onto itself and sticking together.
I'm not sure wether that hood would be a problem or not. You'll just have to try it and see. You might have some creases in the middle that you'll have to push out by hand once it starts to dry.

RE: Vinyl stripes
2 years? I suppose you're a vinyl expert too.
Assuming you are right and they only last two years I could still buy 10 vinyl kits for about 1/2 the cost of paint and I get fresh stripes every 2 years. Your painted stripes will have chipped to **** in the first 2 years!

Get them painted once instead of re-doing your vinyl every two years.

RE: Vinyl stripes
And, of course, vinyl stripes, even when installed by an expert will have air bubbles right from day 1, making them look like sheet instantly. And in 2 years they will be faded, starting to peel, and, assuming you wax your car, have the wax "stripe" surrounding them. Yeah, vinyl is the way to go FO SHO!!!!!
I paid a CRAZY amount ($2000) for my stripes (Lemans and side) because I wanted them to be laser straight, and they are, since they were layed with an actual laser, which is why mine cost so much. Go to any "regular" shop for only Lemans stripes and they will run you $600ish. You can get 10 kits, and pay to have them installed for $600??? Who's your installer, I have LOTS of business for him!!!
