Airborne,

Those look GREAT! I have been very seriously considering hood pins for my Silver GT vert because my hood begins to shake at 70+ MPH. I also really like the way they look and it would be my first choice appearance mod. (Great exhaust tips too!)

First - I would never attempt installation myself. Do you install them yourself?

Are there any possible problems associated with hood pins? For example, leaking water?

This is a stupid question but I would really appreciate an answer - I have never seen hood pins on an actual car - How do they work? When you close your hood is there a pin that has to go up through the hood and then you latch it? If so, it seems it must need to be a very precise setup to make sure the pin goes through the hole whn you close your hood.

This is probably a bad question but I can't think of any way to actually see a car with hood pins so any explanation as to how they work (at my level) would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

Again - they look awesome on your car and I would like to get the same kind.

Thank you for any help.

i experienced shake and "flying" over 90 mph and it was pretty annoying.
I didnt install myself, friend did because he already did that with other stang... but its not really difficult but one must be very precise with drilling and adjusting...

I dont think water leakage should make a problem - its all about how its being installed.

detailed pic here from which I think you can tell how it works

you just need to keep in mind that you should be carefull when you are closing the hood and instead of "slap" the hood into secure position, you should check if holes are in correct place relatively to screws (metal can bend due to engine temperature) and apply constant pressure on the hood to close it...

Glad you like your hood pins. IMHO they are "out of position" to where the should actually be. Too far up and too close together.
