Hey Horrific:

I have a theme of "old shcool" mixing the new (my electronics) with the old (legend lime) and the re-do of the '68 (modern/retro).

Kind of like you trying to make your V6 look like a V8 GT..... As you said to each their own.

Just some punk trying to come in here and raise some hairs. Anyhow, do some research:

http://wikicars.org/en/Ford_Mustang

Here's a little excerpt for you:

Surprisingly, for all its style and well-marketed sporty design, the Mustang was based heavily on familiar, yet simple components. Much of the chassis, suspension, and drive train was derived from the Ford Falcon and Ford Fairlane.

Shares a lot of the same components as the Mustang back then. Since this conversation originally started about the steering wheel, I do believe my fathers 66 mustang has the same steering wheel that's in my 66 fairlane, with just the center piece changed. Furthermore, some of them were made at the same plant.

I won't dignify anymore of your bs, since this thread has gone way off topic. Starman, car looks good!

Cheers.

.....how is that old school?
The old 60's shelbys had wood steering wheels! If that isn't old school, then I don't know what is...

BTW where did you buy the steering wheel from? I love your old school theme!

What did that conversion run you? I think that looks pretty sharp and works well with your theme!
