Default Factory Nav or Pioneer

Getting an 07 GT convertible w/Sirius. Want Nav but should I wait for the factory one or the dealer install a Pioneer AVIC-D2 for about the same price. Don't know which would be better also if the Pioneer is better then the stock shaker 500 head unit. Will be talking to the dealer also will steering wheel buttons still work with the radio, etc. Another choice is the top any ideas if the cloth has any advantages or disadvantages over the standard one as this will be my first convertible & I am 56.

Just to let you know the Pioneer AVIC D-2 will not play DVD movies. A freakin salesman failed to tell me that and led me to believe it did, good thing I didnt buy at the time coz I wanted to research it a little more. Factory NAV is awesome because of the stock look but will not play DVD's and as far as music quality you will be far better off going the aftermarket route. Ive read threads where they said that they were able to use the steering wheel controls but dont know which units. Hope this helps.

Go with the Avic Z1, it plays DVD's and does it all, its the best thing I did for the money... www.6ave.com is the place to go for it, it comes with the manufacturer's warranty and everything and they are a reputable seller.
