My drone range is at about 2500 rpms and if i turn my o/d off them im in drone range right at 60 mph and that could get pretty annoying what would i run at with the 4.10s gears would it be about 2500 at 60 mph

With the 4.10s, I find that 5th gear is actually useable with decent acceleration at highway speed so I'm actually getting the same mileage. Before the 4.10s, I was always in 4th with the acceleration on tap and ready to go.

Hope this helps.

Let me remind you guys if you go 4.10s you will hurt your street race a lot. Go 4.10's if you go to the strip alot. 4.10's on a manual die out at 120mph, so any for example any turbo car or supercharged might want to go with a lower ratio 3.73 for example.

Ive got 3.73's in my auto now. They woke the car up quite a bit. I am also considering swapping the 3.73's for 4.10's.

Hey, I've heard nothing but good things about 4.10's on the street. On the street 4.10's are suppost to be way more fun than 3.73's, but I'm talking in an auto. I'm not quite sure about a Manual though. But your right, if you do plan on SC'n or TC'n, go with 3.73's....but N/A on an auto go with 4.10's!!!!!!.......on a manual, I'm not that sure.

What would you recommend for a 5-speed for street and strip?

Won't 4.30's die out even faster on the "other" drag strip?

Well, just talked to a really good friend of mine whos a real gear head (No pun intended ) and knows his stuff, and hes saying to first, see what RPM I'm at when I just cross the line at the track, this will help determine, along with tire size, and stock FD ratios for the AT what I might need. If I'm hitting close to redline at the end, then the Stock ones just might be enough. He says you will feel faster, and it Great for the street, but I may not gain any better ETA time at the track [:'(], So once I get him some numbers, he going to punch it in to his calculator to see if gears are going to be worth it [8D]. so...

What are the Stock FD ratio for AT and MT ??, he wants the MT info for comparison reasons.

Thanks guys

I think I will change my 4.10 because I don't have any top end. Yesterday I raced another mustang and I stay with him up to 120 after that he started pulling on me, he has the stock gears. Actually my race was against androdz.
