Question for supercharger owners
I am wanting to put a supercharger in my pony but i would like the opinion of you guys. Did you feel a big difference, was the pick up better and did you see a big difference in your gas mileage. Thanks and add anything that would be important.

RE: Question for supercharger owners
The power increase is going to be directly perportional to the type of SC, the psi you run, and the tune you get. But yes, you will feel a substantional increase.
As for fuel mileage, that is going to depend on how you drive it. But for the most part there really isn't that significant of a change.

RE: Question for supercharger owners
Huge difference in acceleration!!! HUGE difference. Very litte in MPG. I lost a 1 mpg in mileage when not in boost. IN boost it most likely is quite lower. Really eats the fuel when you get on it. But that is what it is all about. You don't get power without fuel. I am at 0-60 in about 4 seconds now. 40-80 is scary fast.

What about traction, with this much h.p and tq. it must be all over the road.

you'll need big meats to have good traction with that much hp and tq

RE: Question for supercharger owners
It would be all over the road if I wasn't careful. I'm 54 and my "immortality" status expired many years ago, so I drive with caution. I've never even spun the tires 'cause I'm not independantly wealth either. I work for my money and I don't like the idea of leaving it on the pavement for no apparent reason other than to stoke my ego, with I do in other ways. I am planning on bigger meats though. I will go 18x10 rear and 18x9 front at some point in the future. With as big a meat as I can safely put on them.

The biggest question in s/c selection is "How do you plan to drive the car?". Daily drivers (like me) lean towards the twin-screws for the low-end torque. Drag racers (and dyno-sheet racers) tend to go Centi for the higher max hp.
The BEST power adder is the twin-turbo (750+ rwhp on pump gas), but forget about passing a smog test. If smog is not an issue, save up for the turbo.
