Default Saturday's Winner!

Well we just got back from the track yesterday and the Winner of the 3 cars was the 2006 GTO . I'm not sure his mph but he ran a 13.5 in a stock car- thats pretty dam good if you ask me. The best time that I ran was a 14.2 without the SCT XCAL. It kept throwing a failsafe engine mode so I took it off and made it stock. The Eclipse ran a 14.2 as well... real close to me. His only problem was his launch. He had a little trouble there. There were some super nasty winds Saturday as well so I'm sure that we'll get better runs next time. I better get some mods though if I'm going to beat that GTO. The winning time over all though was an older stang at 10.0 /140 mph... now thats one fast stang!

AJ- 2006 GTO -- Stock

Brian- 1998 Eclipse -- Big 16G - FMIC w/ 2 1/2in piping - 1g throttlebody - 255lph fuel pump - 550cc injec - Injen intake - 3inch turbo back exhaust - Apexi AFC - 9lb ACT Flywheel - Centerforce Clutch

J (me) 2005 Mustang GT -- SCT XCalibrator II - Mac Cold Air Intake - MMR Throttle Body Spacer - JBA Short Tube Headers - Off Road Xpipe - 40 Series Flowmaster Axle Back Exhaust - Hurst Short Throw Shifter - Tien Lowering Springs - Edlebrock Strut Tower Brace - Roush Under Drive Pulleys - Saleen 18X9 Rims

Surely you would have beat the Eclipse with a 93 tune, right?
Where is all this, Calif Speedway?

Orion_240~
I'm in Oceanside Cali... we were at California Speedway. The next legal race event is on Jan 13th. I honestly think that I could possibly have them both if the tune was right and was actually working. The Eclipse is fast but had that trouble launching... if he had slicks then it may just come down to drivers.

all you need is a little practice...and screw the supercharger for now, get some gearing and a dyno tune first!

you left me and eindow out of the summary!
I woulda run the gto for ya, even with all my dead weight!

seriously tho, if you got gearing and a dyno tune you would have a more powerful car than me, and weigh 300+lbs less. You would have a car capable of 12s even in that wind with good driving.

It was great getting to meet you Jay. I love you choice of car color!

Well you're right - I did forget to mention you [:@] Sorry! It was nice to meet ya too. If'll have to get ahold you when I go again or just to chill since your so close. I know that there is another on Jan 13th but I dont know if I will have my gears by then - I'll PM you my # here in a minute. There are some Races more out this way as well that are in San Marcos. Illegal of course and not too many stangs. I never raced there but I have gone there just to see the cars. There is a 900 HP Supra and few others that are pretty dam quick there. You'll def take most but it's not bad just to meet some people and see what they got.

You ran good on Saturday though and I know you had the GTO. I do need more practice though so I will def be going here in the near future. By the way- Brian (Eclipse)/ his car broke down on the way back and he ended up getting towed from Temecula. Didn't cost him much using AAA. Thanks on the car color - your's looked great too.

Oh I have really been thinking about the way you got your radar run. Dam good idea! I liked it! Lots! I may just have to steal that idea from you - better then a trunk liner right?

i don't mind if ya take the V1 and trunk ideas, its an honor to start trends like those! I steer clear of organized street races after i frequented them for a couple years...too many nutjobs and shady folks...plus you can lose your car even if you don't race.

Its nice to hear the eclipse got down to the low 14s. with slicks and no headwind he would be all over the 13s. Heck, if you weren't rolling in reverse when the light went green you woulda been too haha.
