That sucks - but like someone else said... we have all done stupid things in our cars so dont worry about it. I have done the donut thing many times behind the stores... lucky for me that I dont mess my car up in doing it I dont the deal eris going to have to many problems about the car getting fixed - just stick to your story about the light. Good Luck on that and tell us what happens.

That'll teach YOU to do donuts...
Seriously, if you fried the clutch, bring your checkbook. That is a "wear item," like brakes, tires, etc. Several hundred, at least. But, it could be a hydraulic issue. Or, and I had this happen once - my rear main seal blew, and ruined the clutch. Hope for that one to happen, since for me, I got the clutch replacement covered under warranty because the rear main blew and spewed oil all over it.
Sorry about your car though...

Sounds like the clutch is fried and i'm going to guess $800 parts and labor from the ford dealer. I doubt they will fix it under warranty unless it is a hydraulic issue.
Nice video though, did you shift to second gear or was that all first?

Cool donuts!!!!! Wish I had the nuts to do that with my car!!! lol
Just want to share this info with ya......my husband has been a Ford tech for over 6-yrs and I get to hear all sorts of shop stories.....just be a little on the prepared side that the dealer service may easily determine what caused it. A good tech will recognize and know what caused the damage. There is no doubt they will repair it, but depending on the tech that does the diag and writes up the estimate, will determine if it will be covered under warranty. Ive heard stories of PISSED off customers whose repairs were not covered under warranty because the techs determined wear-n-tear, abuse or negligence. NOT TO PUT A DAMPER ON YOUR S****Y SITUATION, just making you prepared for a possibility.
GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE THEY DO REPAIR IT WITH NO ISSUES!!!!!

You try putting into 1st with the car off?
Sounds like maybe the clutch slave took a poop.
I drove my car 7 miles to work with no clutch, just caught the lights at the right time.
Nice touch with the video
