Default CAI and gas milage

I installed the C&L intake with brenspeed tunes. I want to first say I am very pleased with it. I loaded the 91 octane tune and my average miles per gallons is way down. From like the low 20's to like 18 or 19. This is driving like I always did on the highway before the intake. I dont know if my computer is off because I know alot of you guys said gas milage actually went up. I am going to see how many miles I get out of the tank then see if the computer is off.

Admit it!! You love the tune so much that, unconciously, you're hod roddng it or a little heavier on the pedal. [8D]
It could be that those custom tunes have changed the fuel mixture ratio, thus increasing HP and Torque, but it sacrificies your fuel efficiency.

But hell, what do I know, although I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

My first couple tanks of gas when I added the CAI and tune were WAAAY down, I only got about 150 to a tank on city but after that it has been good. Give it some time it should balance out.

I get about 15-17 MPG, sometimes I get into the throttle (hey that is why I bought the car). I don't sweat the fuel economy, if I wanted fuel economy I would have bought one of those gas thrifty cars.

I get 20 city and 25 to 27 highway. Only mod predator tune 87, K& N air filter in stock housing. But the stock housing I have cut holes in it. So now it is all open.

The car is a 5speed manual v8

I get 20 mpg in the city and 27 on the high way running 80 mph on cruise I have 3:55 gears a 5 speed manual and run the Brenspeed 93 octane tune with a C&L CAI on my 07 GT When I fill up compleatly, and that is kind of hard to to get done sometimes because the tank doesnt vent right, it shows 323 miles to empty. I noticed that when I get the tank compleatly full, by letting some gas run out the vent, the gallons I used pretty much matches the gas pump reading with in a few tenths.

I never baby the car, but I dont floor it at every light and thrash it like some might. Before I did the Brenspeed tune and all, stock I got 16 mpg in town if lucky and 20 on the highway at no more than 70 mph.

Next mod is exhaust and then possible the supercharger (still deciding wich one). Thanks for the replys I guess Im about the same except for warlock, those are good numbers.
