Default Condor vs Terminator

Was reading the latest issue of 5.0 magazine(saw the Cobra vs GT500 on the cover!) and was surprised to see that with the same mods(or lack thereof) the GT500(code named Condor) is about 1/2 second faster than the Terminator(and that's due to not being able to get proper traction). The cars were less than 250lb apart and both ran into the 11's(the Shelby spinning through the first 3 gears!), but the GT500's 8 mph trap advantage shows that the power advertised is present. 11.37@124 to 11.88@116, both cars basically had CAI, tunes, large bore exhaust(L.T.s on the Cobra), T.B. mods, injectors/fuel rails and, of course, S/C pulley swap outs and drag radials.
Terminator dyno'd at 470rwhp, while the Condor produced 586rwhp.......worthy successor? I think so

well they have a big motor but over all still not that impressed, i have a couple friends with them and one of thenm is in the process of making it twin turbo, they got big money. but from the factory and even modded im still not impressed. i think they kill it when they mark up the price, makes it not worth it to me

Why is it that it takes 100 more hp to get 1/2 a second more? Just wondering cause I thought something with close to 600 hp would be alot closer to 10s... maybe I was horribly wrong?

i think justin at vmp tunings v6 has 685?rwhp and it s a 3.8 and it runs 10.9 so the heavy *** gt500 running 11s there make sense to me

You're right, I forgot to mention that there was a sidebar in the article stating that at a later date, PHP(Paul's High Performance), which conducted the session, added L.T.'s(added 12rwhp) and proper drag tires and ran a 10.9@124 in th GT500.....pick up an issue(or browse it) and see the results for yourself, I happen to think 10.9's with bolt-on's is pretty darn stout IMO
