Quick Time Performance Dual Electric Cut-Outs Installed!!!
First,I want to thank Quick Time Performance for giving me the opportunity to test their product! I am satisfied and give nothing but praise for this product.
For those of you who dont know what an electric cut out is,it is a electronic controlled motor/butterfly that allows me to open and close my exhaust. From stock GT sound to the old Bullitt Mustang sound in a matter of 5-6 seconds.I had the McCord Electric cut out on my old camaro and was satisfied until it started making a ticking sound due to the electric butterfly not seating correctly and allowing an exhaust leak.I have opened and closed the QTP units numerous times and they have not leaked even once.
The install is a 8 out of 10.10 being difficult. It took a lot of fabrication, precise measurements and guts to make this unit fit. However,I am glad I did it because the times I wish i had a louder exhaust,I just flip the toggle switch and WAAA LAAA! If I see a cop,I just close the butterfly and the stock GT sound comes back.People that hear the mustang ask if I did an engine swap, took out the mufflers or gutted my exhaust. I show them to my switch and they are in awwweeee!!!
Not only did I gain the holy **** sound that I wanted,I gained some HP by opening it up. With it closed and running my stock GT exhaust,I can barely chirp the 20s from 1st to 2nd. Now when I open the butterflies up,from 1st to 2nd,the rear end gets a bit loose and you can feel the rear end get wobbley(sp). I would say I gained atleast 5-10 HP with it open.I will stop blabbering and show the pictures.
Now the Pros and Cons to this are:
Pros:
The sound control I have. I dont have to worry about the drone or my exhaust being to quiet.
The gain in HP
The cool factor
Retain factory cats
Still passes CA Smog
Cons:
A very big job. Not for everyone
You do have to weld, cut and fabricate
You do have to cut some shielding off from the undercarriage of the body
You will scrape a little bit if you have a lowered suspension
A lot of fabrication work needed.
If you have any questions, you can email me at js2ndiinone@aol.com
Thank you and God bless,

I'll play the skeptic, hows does that help with performance? Its a big fact that the cats are what cause so much of the power loss in the exhaust(esides the short headers). Seems kinda pointless, but I'd have to see some dyno #s. I would have done something like that after a set of LTs and b4 a catted X or h-pipe. When are you gonna dyno it? I've hope they changed their motor system as a lot of the guys I've heard feedback from have had their electric motor thingies freeze up and the non exhaust side stray stuck open, but QT has great service though.

I had an E-cutout on my SRT-4. Besides the GT35R turbo upgrade, it was the best one I made, and I had around $20K worth of upgrades on my car when I got rid of it, and they were ALL performance upgrades. This would sound SOOOO good on a stang!!
