New member upgrade questions-help me experts!
Hey everyone, long time lurker first time poster. I bout my Stang in April and began visiting these forums shortly after. After reading the advice of several posters, I opted for an MRT exhaust upgrade and the GT takeoff rims , and I have been very pleased. My baby is now in storage until spring, but I am considering several upgrades when I take it out. I am considering these 20 inch chrome bullitts http://www.americanmuscle.com/chrome...el-20x8-5.html , and these tires http://www.americanmuscle.com/sumito...255-35-20.html to match. Any advise from the experts? I also plan on getting a chrome antenna, door handles, mirror covers, fuel door, taillight fixters, etc. basically the whole works. I love the style and look of the Mustang, but I am definitely not the racing type...which is why I have not really considered performance type upgrades. Anyway, any suggestions or feedback (good or bad) would be much appreciated!
Edit: This should be moved to 4.0 V6 specific, my bad on that

I would say get dual exhaust. But back to what you are asking I would say if you want DD Bullitt Rims go 18"x10" Black DD Bullitts in Back and 18"x9" Black DD Bullitts in front. But if you want chrome do that. Keep in my DD FR500 rims as well. I like the look of black DD FR500 rims with the chrome lip. IMHO, Torch Red stangs look best with black rims. As far as tires go, try BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires sizes 295/40R18 in back and 255/40R18 in front. Those only works with the 18" rims though.

Thanks for the feedback so far, keep it coming. On a side note, why does it seem that most people are against getting 20's? It seems almost everyone has 18's. Not saying it's bad or good, just extremely curious as to why that is. Anyway, like I said, keep the feedback coming it helps a lot.

uh oh, [&:] you might start another 18 vs. 20 War[sm=patriot.gif]. [sm=shootshoot.gif].
20's are not a performance mod, the ride will be harsher and they're not good for drag racing, but some people love the look (myself included) and some don't. The S197 is a old school muscle looking car and some feel that 20's are too pimp my ride and take away from the look. But there are a lot of people on here with 20's, all of which love them. It depends on you really, some people like em, others don't. Its pretty much the same with everything. some people swear by superchargers and others love turbochargers. no matter what it is some people will be on both sides of the fence. Have fun deciding

Dont forget that 20's will raise your car up off the ground a little more, raising the center of gravity. Im not too fond of 20's myself, but on the right vehicle they look just fine.

IMO 20" do not leave enough rubber showing in addition they ride like crap and perform even worse. I went from 16" to 17" and the ride became noticeably more harsh.
