RE: Stage 3 Vs GT 500 and a surprise too
That's the 2nd time Topgear has done a video about mustangs, where the technical info was all wrong. Also, there's more to going fast then forcing the car to drift at every oppourtunity. I think that TopGear honestly loves the Mustang...it's a car that just won't go away, is a great vehicle out-of-the-box, and is LOADS cheaper than what the Euro's have on offer...
And yes, he loves the/his GT more than any other car...

Just listening to that A$$HOLE makes me want to vomit. He's so anti American, forget the fact if it wasn't for the good old USA he'd be speaking German. He doesn't get it, the mystque of owning a Mustang. that it's a great buy out of the box not to mention the ton of upgrades that can improve every fascet the Pony has to offer. Screw him and his attitude. I wish he was standing in front of me right now, I'd put a flag pole up his *** and raise the American flag. God bless the USA and **** him[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

It's not actually off of top-gear, Jeremy Clarkson goes on a personal little trip through America, and systematically compares inferior American cars to European ones in order to prove a point. He can't stand the Corvette Z06 because the ride is too compromised for street use. Races a Roush to a Lotus Exige-S, which already costs $60,000, is a non-daily driver 2 seater and isn't even available for sale in the US. Not to mention that it appears to be a track only car, since it has a fire-extinguisher mounted to the floor of the passenger side, and no headlights.
You'd really love the next part of the video. He takes a Land Rover, which we all know is owned by Ford, but anyways, and races them up a mountain against.... the best SUV's America has to offer. Which, in his mind seems to be the H2, and the Escalade. A set-up? no-way.

I think a fairer comparison would be the Lotus vs Mustang FR500GT, track car vs track car, then who'd win?(hint, he'd shut his mouth for good!). Besides he has to make the British audience feel good about being British, put that Roush against that Lotus in a track with slightly more straightaways and it would even things out a bit more. Although he's just doing his job, getting facts wrong says a lot about his attention to detail regardless if it's scripted or not. Didn't that '68 Bullitt replica sound best of all?

lol true. i hate that guy. all he does is bash american cars.
ORIGINAL: KTownGT
compared to his other episodes about the stang, I would call that a few...
They actually used the right cars this time!
ORIGINAL: 8cd03gro
a few?! he said the gt500 had 475hp and used a 4.6 with a "bigger" supercharger than the roush. wow. how do you not realize, even from just the damn engine pics that the gt500's 5.4 is bigger than the 4.6. YOU CAN EVEN SEE IT IS MUCH LARGER. this guy has no clue.

That part wasn't too bad considering he wasn't bashing the stang. He did however compare a convertable to a coupe, and he had a few factual errors...
