Trying to remove center vents

I just bought an '05 and I do not have a service manual yet. I want to remove the panel where the center AC vents are to run a wire for my GPS. Can anyone tell me how to remove it?

I saw something on ebay today describing how. It was some kind of mod. I think you just pull them straight out. Not 100% positive though. Give it a tug and see but be careful.

Trying to remember where I saw it but I can't.
