HELP! Immediate help needed.
OK hold on everyone. The item in question that popped out, did it come out of the backside of the front brake caliper? And if so when this happen did all the brake fluid come out with it? If this is the item that popped out then it is most likely the brake caliper piston and unless you are a very competent mechanic which to me sounds like not then you need to take that car in and most likely have the entire caliper replaced since you most likely damaged the o ring that help keeps the fluid in place behind the piston. Also if the entire ABS system has bleed out then it must be bleed and it has to be done with a IDS or other compatible ABS scan tool.
Note to all if you have this lack of knowledge when it comes to brakes please do myself and the rest of us you share the road with a favor and leave your brakes to a professional. Your life as well as the rest of us depend on your brakes working and if you do not know how to even bleed a brake system you have no business working on them to begin with.

It's in just fine, and we got the system pressurized... It seems to be working fine...
Now for the other side..... lol. I'll let you all know the end result.
Yeah that's the brake caliper piston which is exactly what i thought it was and it is very easy to knick the o-ring on them which can cause issues with brake performance and possible failure under load. I seriously suggest you take your car in and have the brake system completely checked out.

You beat me too it. I would HIGHLY suggest you take your car to someone who knows what they are doing and have it looked at. When it comes to brakes, you shouldn't take any chances. If you are going to drive it to the mechanic (which I DON'T SUGGEST) make sure there is NO Traffic out and keep you hand on the eBrake. Any sign of trouble, get of the road ASAP and get it towed. Thats going to be cheaper then having to replace your entire front end because you hit a guardrail when your brakes fail.

Well got everything finished. Both front brake pads have been installed...
It's working extremely well. The break piston that popped out seams to be performing just fine, I was able to reassemble it with the rubber covering. (A hammer help in the process)
I've taken the car out for a good test ride, trying it slowly around the neighborhood first, and when that checked out I tested it on the road. They are working flawlessly, I also took it on the freeway to test it under a heavy load. (The freeway here is empty right now.) It worked just fine.
Thanks for all your help guys! I'll take it to the local break place that will do a complete and detailed break inspection for free.
I freaked out when I took everything apart and wasnt sure if I was going to be able to do it or not, but it turned out to be easier than I was making it. The rear will come another day.
If your considering changing your break pads and have know nothing about cars, dont do it. However if you have a little knowledge it is simple once you understand what your doing. I feel confident I will be able to do it in the future when the time comes.
