Default Setting revs per mile with XCal 2?

Hey all, couldn't find this in a search, so thought I'd ask: can an end user adjust the revs per mile that is programmed into the car's computer with the XCal 2? I'd like to get some new wheels and tires in the spring and am wondering if I can make the adjustment for different sized wheel/tire combo or if it has to be entered into the program I buy from an XCal 2 vendor. I'm hoping it's as simple as plugging the XCal 2 into the OBD2 port and selecting some setting from the menu to alter revs per mile. Is it that easy or will I need to have it done as part of the main program I load into my car's computer?

It's as easy as you think. There's a menu option on the SCT-2 for revs per mile. You just pick the number from the menu that matches your tires.

The SCT Xcal is easy to use... you just plug it in and follow the menu

So just curious...how do you determine the revs per miles?

Me too.....I haven't programmed the revs/mile since I have a goofy tire size. Will it make a difference after programming??

If you are running a custom tune you will need to make sure that whoever wrote set it to allow adjustments. Otherwise the feature will be locked. And as for tire revolutions per mile, you might not get exact, but you will be close. Example, my rear tires are speced at 722 rpm. But my XCal II adjustment is in increments of "5".

trying to revive this thread. . .

so i got the SCT xcal2 with 3 mail order tunes from Brenspeed. I've used a tuner before so it wasn't totally new to me. I plugged it in and followed the directions. this was WAY faster than the hypertech III i used with my truck. BUT, I never got to any menu options for changing the revs per mile. from what everybody has said, i was assuming this thing was very user friendly. maybe the user is having an ID10T problem or it's locked as Hawgman said. Ideas? I've written to SCT and I guess I could call Brenspeed as well on Monday when they open.
