Default Need some interior help......door rattle.

I'm trying to remove the flat piece of plastice behind the interior door handle. I thought it would just pop out with a flat blade screw driver, but i'm having a hell of a time with that method. I'd rather not break it, but I want that damn thing out because it rattles like a SOB!

Use a flathead thin (small) screw driver.

Lift the door handle towards you as far as it can go...in the top left or bottom left drivers side or top right or bottom right passenger side door (I think or vice versa)...stick the screw driver in there and give it a quick tug on an angle. Try to have the screw driver on an angle as much as you can. It's extremely easy and I promise you it will not break. If it does, I will not buy you another one BUT you can get one for 3 bucks or something

Sorry if this doesn't make sense.

thanks! I was trying to pop it from the middle which wasn't working. Of course there are some nice ugly holes and screw behind them. I'm going to glue some foam padding to the back to tighten them up so they won't shake. Maybe I could sell the idea to Ford, they got some engineering geniuses designing the interior.

Some things can't be fixed so don't stress it. Every car rattles in their own maniacal way ...

Yeah, I just did the same thing on my doors and rattles are gone! For anyone w/ a squeaky dash, I just had the dealer fix it (for the 3rd time) by putting foam under the dash where the pillar is. It actually worked b/c it's cold here and no squeaks from my dash anymore! She's almost as quiet as a Lexus inside, but still sounds like a stang on the outside!

I have already removed that flat plastic panel from behind my door handle twice to bend on the tabs that clip it in - time for me to get some foam and fix it right.... maybe i'll drop any extra foam off at my local ford dealer so they can fix the rest of the cars on the lot
