The rears are dirt simple. 30 minutes for both.

The fronts will take a little longer. I did both my fronts in about an hour and a half, using a spring compressor. I am told that it is possible to do without a compressor, but that is not how I usually do it.

i'm confused as to how a spring compressor works, do you compress it, take it off the compressor then put it in... or what? lol i feel like such a noob do you have a guide?

i wanted to do my rears today but i was scared it would turn into something longer then i expected

definately possible, I did it, but i'd recommend a spring compressor. Mycontrol arms would not go down far enough to take all the pressure off the spring. So i pulled the upper bolt on the bottom of the strut and rotated the spindle outward to relieve all the pressure. That aloud me to remove the lower bolt and remove the strut. Of course going back in is easy because the springs are shorter.

a spring compressor is nothing more than a clamp. You attach it to the spring while it is compressed and it keeps the spring compressed when you remove the upper strut bolt. Then you slowly release the pressure by turning the nuts of the compression tool (this depends on the type of tool used). You won't need the compressor to put the lowering springs back in.

The backs are very easy. Just unbolt your sway bar and put a jack under neath your rear end so it dosen't drop down to far. Also i would unbolt your brake lines so you don't over flex the lines and snap them.

When you do the front, the entire strut assembly comes of in one piece. That consists of the "shock", the spring, and the top piece. You remove this from the car. Then, when it's outside the car, you use the spring compressor to take the load off the spring. Then you can remove the top assembly and the spring. Compress the new spring, insert it onto the shock, replace the top, take off the tension, then re-install the strut in the car.
