I ordered mine in mid-November '05 and after holiday plant schedules and all, i got mine on 1/16/06
When your order is "bucked" your parts are pulled and ready for the production line,
Your dealer gets a "DAILY STATUS REPORT" that shows all the cars that they have orderd,
whether its dealer, stock or special order like mine. I have two pages of these in my "baby" book
And they show VIN#;option codes and est delivery date, ask them for the 'DST'
they should have a new one every day. Congrats on your order, it will get here......... mine did...

I ordered a GT convertible on march 29 and it arrived June 12. I was told that convertibles and manual tranmissions take longer since they do them in special assembly line runs....which are less frequent than hardtop autos.....
but you've had to deal with thanksgiving shutdown, and now xmas shutdown, and columbus day, veterans day, etc......

I ordered my '07 V6 Pony Package / manual trans on Dec 20. Build week is scheduled for Jan 15 and delivery week of Jan 22. Interior SAP, Anti Theft, and Anti-lock brakes are my options. Oh yes, it's Vista Blue with white stripes. Nothing unusual, just no dealer ship had that combination.
My sales rep called me yesterday with the info. I didn't want to be a jerk and tell him that I had been tracking it with the 1-800 number, so I played along with the good information.

Well with my mustang I ordered an 07 Dark Red Convertiable V6
With interior upgrade (red colored leather seats)<--- might be the reason why its taking a while

Is there a website I can visit to be able to trace my order. I asked the dealership guy he said he can't track it. So I e-mailed Ford a couple of days ago but no answer so far...

hey man i know how u feel i was in your position plus some. i ordered in august and am receiving it at the end of january like a 5 1/2 month wait. it was only about two weeks ago that i got serialized, the first step in production. you need to have the order#, dealer code, body type code T82=GT, year of vehicle, in order to track it with the 800#. mine took long because there was a supply problem with 18' rims oh well good luck!

I ordered mine Sept. 1st and received it nine weeks later. When I ordered it the dealer said that it would be 6-8 weeks. About 4 weeks into the wait, the dealer called saying that the car is going to be built on the 5th week. On the 6th week while I was expecting delivery, they called me again and said that the car got delayed because some parts were needed. (I think they needed the 18in rims) When I finally picked it up, the guy that sold me the car was telling me that he was getting a lot of calls from people asking about my car since it was now showing up on their inventory. He told them "Sorry but this car is already sold". 
It was worth the wait though.

my dealer told me I'd be able to track my order on the web, maybe he was wrong though. seems trustworthy so I'm not worried. next week he'll be able to give me an ETA on delivery (just ordered it on the 26th)
