Default I Need DTC Code Help!

My 2005 gt overheated briefly yesterday, and spilled half a gallon of coolant. I let it cool down, gave it more coolant, checked all the hoses, checked the electric water pump to make sure it was spinning, and checked all the fuses. Everything was fine, so I started her back up, and had zero problems the rest of the 30miles back home. I did, however, get a CEL.

What does code "P0153" mean?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you! I don't need to worry now because it's probably just a side effect of having no cats, but I will go see my tuner about it.

I would be more concerned with what caused the overheat than the Oxygen Sensor code.

usually, a car throwing up coolant is a sign the head gasket is going bad. it's pushing coolant out rather than sucking it in.

You may have a lean condition. Slow HEGO switch rates (upstream sensors) are usually the result of injector flow issues or a lean condition. Your VCT solenoid grommets in the front of each valve cover are known to leak and create vacuum leaks. Your PCV does not have a valve in it, it is a metered vacuum leak. Once the engine can breathe through these grommets, that metered leak becomes an unmetered leak and can not only set codes like P0171,0174 but the P0153 as well....... Just FYI. BTW, if anyone hereever pullstheir own codes and wants to know not only what they mean, but how they are set and whatthere possible causes are; shoot me a PM and I will gladlyexplain. I do diagnostics for FoMoCo and have all the resources you can imagine

I haven't had my cats on for over a year and I haven't had any problems yet... nothing but an awsome sound.

BTW, I will have much better and punctual information regarding codes that begin with a "P" (my specialty is engine performance. It's all I do and definately what I know most about.) I will give an honest shot at other codes but just beware.......

It overheated again briefly today, but did not spill any coolant. I let it cool, and it burped out a wee bit of air which I think may be the culprit, and I added a little more coolant in its place.

Also, the electric water pump did not fire up the first time I put the key in the "on" position, but did fire up when I turned the car off and then turned the key "on" again. I am going to pull the pump just in case, and reinstall the stock one for now.
