a buddy of mine has a GTO with a 442 and he seems to be convinced that ford sucks and mustangs are slow, so he wants to race me, from what i understand hes mostly stock...


i won't be racing him untill i get my 4.10s in and have my LTs on, so what do you think the out come of the race would be? he also wants to run for money... what do you guys think i don't know much about pontiacs

 

Don't the stock GTO's come with 400hp? I'd look out if I were you. :P

 

Hese talking about an old heavy GTO with a 442. I think they have 340 HP stock.

You could get him stock, CAI+Tune and 4.10's, you won't even see him after you take off.

442 is an Oldsmobile MODEL. What year GTO? If it's a late model even with your long tubes and 4.10's you better hook up well or your done

 

Don't bet anymore than you can stand to hand over.I have 07 stang and a 64 GTO.The goat weighs 2990 and runs 12:09.The best out of the stang was 13:90.If he can't drive you would have a edge.

 

thats what i was thinking, but the guy seems convinced his car is faster lol

oh well we'll see what happens i guess, im pretty confident with my car.

 

You remeber the guy who was with me at Rockville (Mike) we can use his Mustang which happens to be a very fast Procharged '04 Cobra w/ over 900hp on boost alone. =)

Anyway either way I think you have a great chance of beating him.

I dunno, I wouldn't put money on it...GTOs are FAST muscle cars, and even with your mods, I'd make a guess that he's going to take you, or be almost dead even to the end...If he's a decent driver, he's got a good possibility of taking you.
